Documents the suffering of some Pampans during the period, and the local efforts and federal state programs that tried to help those effected by unemployment and want.

Cemetery Lists and Obituaries:

The library has cemetery lists for Fairview Cemetery in Pampa and cemeteries in McLean, Alanreed, Lefors, Canadian, Wheeler, Childress, and Mobeetie.

Scrapbooks of obituaries are available for some people buried in the cemeteries of McLean, Alanreed, and Lefors.

World War and Gray County,Texas: The Fighters and the Folks at Home, by John A Mead.  Special features include an index of names of serviceman or women in the newspaper articles, lists of men who were killed, injured, or who were prisoners as well as those who won major decorations. Included is a list of women who served. The book also includes articles on the folks at home and how the war affected them.
